Abstract

The length-weight relationship and condition factor of 106 Macrobrachium dayanum of Betwa River of Madhya Pradesh were determined. The length-weight relationship was established as Log W = - 1.64647 + 2.51118 Log I, with standard errors being 0.1190779 and 0.0751746 respectively. The coefficient of correlation ‘r’ was found to be 0.9706691 which indicated that the relationship between length and weight of this prawn was highly significant. The calculated t-test also indicated that the correlation between length and weight was significant . The mean value of K, condition factor, was found to be 10.596.
