Hepatoprotective Investigation of Ficus lyrataand Ficus elastic Leaves Extract

In hepatotoxic Albino rats caused by isoniazid and paracetamol, the hydroalcoholic extract of Ficus lyrata and Ficus elastic leaves was evaluated for hepatoprotective activity. The degree of protection was measured by estimating biochemical parameters such as serum glutamate Oxaloacetate transaminase (SGOT), serum glutamate pyruvate transaminase (SGPT), ALP and the level of total serum bilirubin.
